Adrienne Gordon

Adrienne Gordon is a Clinical Professor in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology at the University of Sydney's Central Clinical School, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is also a Senior Staff Specialist Neonatologist at RPA Newborn Care, Sydney Local Health District. Her research focuses on pregnancy outcomes, obesity in pregnancy, stillbirth prevention, and public health impacts of early-life interventions. Key roles include leading the PreBabe Trial on preconception weight loss and serving as Deputy Chair of RedNose's scientific advisory group.

She holds degrees including MBChB, MRCP (UK), MPH (Hons), FRACP, and PhD. Her research integrates clinical trials, epidemiology, and translational studies, with projects funded by NHMRC, NSW Health, and international collaborations. Awards include the Sydney LHD Patients as Partners Award and NSW Health Harry Collins Award.

Current projects include BABY1000 (studying modifiable risks in early life) and the Safer Baby Bundle initiative. Her work emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration across obstetrics, neonatology, and public health sectors.
