Adrian Miroiu is a Professor of Political Science at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), Bucharest. He has held significant administrative roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Political Science (2001–2005) and President of SNSPA (2008–2012). Prior to his current position, he served as Secretary of State for Higher Education in the Romanian Ministry of Education (1999–2001) and held leadership roles at the University of Bucharest, including Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy (1993–1995).

Research interests span philosophy of science, modal logic, political and social philosophy, institutional theory, and public policy with a focus on educational policies. Scientific awards include the National Order of Merit (Grand Officer, 2000) and the "Mircea Florian" Award from the Romanian Academy (1995). He has supervised over 25 Ph.D. theses and contributed to academic governance as Vice-President of ARACIS (2009–2013) and President of CNFIS (2011–2015).
