Adrian Lewis

Adrian R. Lewis is the David B. Pittaway Professor of Military History at the University of Kansas. A retired U.S. Army veteran, he specializes in 20th-century warfare, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and modern conflicts. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and has taught at West Point, UC Berkeley, and the University of North Texas.

His influential publications analyze U.S. military culture, doctrine, and operations. He commands expertise in amphibious warfare and strategic decision-making, with field experience in Korea, Panama, and Germany.
