Adrian Lee

Dr Adrian Lee is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. He serves as a Medical Oncologist and Network Director of Physician Training at Royal North Shore Hospital and Genesis Care. His clinical and research focuses include neuro-oncology, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, and liquid biopsy applications in solid tumors. He collaborates internationally with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre on ctDNA research and leads studies at the Bill Walsh Translational Cancer Research Laboratory (Kolling Institute).

Dr Lee holds degrees including BSc (Med), MBBS (Hons), FRACP, and PhD. He teaches medical students in clinical tutorials, lectures, and research projects. His academic affiliations include MOGA (Medical Oncology Group of Australia), RACP (Royal Australasian College of Physicians), COGNO (Clinical Oncology Society of Australia), ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology).

Research interests emphasize malignant brain tumors, clotting mechanisms in oncology, and translational cancer research. His work has been supported by grants such as the 2022 Supporting Australian Brain Cancer Research initiative. Dr Lee also supervises medical oncology training programs and coordinates oncology patient care in regional areas like Armidale Hospital.

Publications span topics like ctDNA analysis in lung cancers, IDH mutations in gliomas, and targeted therapies for neuroendocrine tumors. He received the Rebecca Cooper Foundation Scholarship and contributes to global oncology research through collaborative networks.
