Adrian Burden

Dr Adrian Burden is a Professor (Reader) in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics at the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences, Manchester Metropolitan University, within the Faculty of Education, Practice and Citizenship. He has held academic roles since 1992, including positions at Brunel University, University of Brighton, and Edge Hill University before joining MMU in 2002. His research focuses on biomechanics, electromyography, musculoskeletal morphology, and sports injury prevention. He serves as the Faculty’s DELTA (Digitally Enhanced Learning, Teaching, and Assessment) Lead and has contributed to editorial boards of journals like Journal of Applied Biomechanics and European Journal of Sports Science.
