Adina Levay is a Lecturer for BA (Hons) Acting at Norwich University of the Arts. With over 20 years of international theatre directing experience, she has held roles including Associate Director at Hungary’s New Theatre and Miskolc National Theatre, and Artistic Director of Slovakia’s Jokai Theatre. Her work explores themes of identity, power dynamics, and vulnerability through politically and ethically charged theatre.
Education:
- MA in Advanced Theatre Practice, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (London)
- MA in Creative Entrepreneurship, University of East Anglia
- Actor training at Budapest’s Hangar School of Performing Arts
Her directing credits span contemporary European dramaturgies, including ILLUSION (2021), LOVE MONOLOGUES (2020), and CITY OF SPECTRES (2017). Her work often involves cross-border collaborations and addresses marginalized voices. She founded Norwich-based Concentric Circles, focusing on European performance practices.
Affiliations: Member of Norwich Theatre Creatives Advisory Group (2021–present) and IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts) since 2017.
