Adel Dhiyaf is an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Science, Tripoli, Libya. He earned his MSc in Physics (2007) and PhD (2014) from the University of Tripoli and Heriot Watt University, Scotland, UK, respectively.

Dr. Dhiyaf's research focuses on Solar Energy (spanning Thermal Conversion and Photovoltaics) and Solid State Physics. His work during his PhD at Heriot Watt University centered on Flexible Solar Cells, and he has contributed to teaching Photovoltaic & Solar Thermal Energy as part of a TEMPUS project at the University of Tripoli.
In 2018, he was appointed Head of the Physics Department and currently serves as Director of the International Cooperation Office at the University of Tripoli. He has edited and refereed technical papers for the Journal of Solar Energy and Sustainable Development and the Journal of Electronic Systems and Programming.
