Dr. Adam Sargent is a Lecturer in the School of Archaeology and Anthropology at The Australian National University. He holds a PhD and MA from the University of Chicago, and a BA from Reed College. His research integrates linguistic and semiotic anthropology with critical political economy to examine labor dynamics, debt systems, and social inequality. Recent work focuses on construction labor in Delhi, engineering training in the U.S., and data-driven debt products in India.
