Dr. Adam Dighton is a Lecturer in War Studies at the University of Wolverhampton, affiliated with the School of Social, Historical and Political Studies. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Salford (2016) and has taught at the University of Salford and the University of Birmingham.
- BA in War Studies and MA in War, Media and Society from the University of Kent
- Teaching Fellowship at University of Birmingham (2016-2019)
His research focuses on British military history (1793-1945), military thought and strategy, and the British Empire (1815-1945). He also explores memory and commemoration of conflict.
Recent publications analyze the evolution of military theory in the British Army and intersections of race/masculinity in imperial military contexts. Articles span themes like strategic historiography, colonial campaigns, and cultural representations of war.
