Adam Dickinson

Adam Dickinson is a Research Associate in Stakeholder Engagement and Knowledge Translation at Loughborough University's National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM). He is affiliated with the Lifestyle for Health and Wellbeing research group, Sport, Business and Society, and the Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport. His work focuses on understanding barriers and facilitators to participation in sports like wheelchair basketball, examining impacts on mental and physical well-being.

Education: BSc Psychology (Staffordshire University, 2019), MSc Cognitive Neuroscience (University of Sussex, 2020), and PhD candidate at Loughborough University (2021–present).

Research emphasizes disability sport participation, health psychology, and the intersection of exercise science with societal factors. Collaborates closely with Dr. Janine Coates on knowledge translation initiatives.
