Adam Clay is an Associate Professor and Director of Creative Writing at Louisiana State University's Department of English (College of Humanities & Social Sciences). He has authored five poetry collections, including Circle Back (2024) and To Make Room for the Sea (2020). His work appears in prominent literary journals like Ploughshares and Iowa Review.
He co-edited Typo Magazine for two decades and received the 2018 Literary Arts Fellowship from the Mississippi Arts Commission. His research focuses on contemporary poetry, creative writing pedagogy, and 20th/21st century American poetry.
