Jehanne Dubrow is a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of North Texas. She is the author of nine poetry collections, three books of creative nonfiction, and an upcoming craft book, The Wounded Line: A Guide to Writing Poems of Trauma (2023). Her recent work includes Exhibitions: Essays on Art & Atrocity (2023) and the forthcoming poetry collection Civilians (2025). Dubrow’s writing explores themes of trauma, art, and global displacement, reflecting her upbringing as the daughter of American diplomats, born in Italy and raised across Europe and Africa.
Her essays, poems, and reviews have appeared in prestigious literary journals such as Poetry, Southern Review, and Ploughshares, and have been featured by outlets like The New York Times Magazine and National Public Radio’s Fresh Air. She is the founding editor of the literary journal Cherry Tree.
