Adam Bock

Adam Bock serves as Lecturer of Guitar in the Jazz Studies department at Loyola University New Orleans' School of Music & Theatre Professions, College of Music and Media.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance, supplemented by mentorship under prominent New Orleans musicians including John Rankin, Steve Masakowski, and Hank Mackie.

Bock’s pedagogical approach integrates diverse musical traditions across Jazz Guitar, Classical Guitar, and Rock Performance disciplines. Certified in the Suzuki Method, he champions holistic music education that transcends stylistic boundaries while maintaining technical rigor in guitar performance.

As an advisor, Bock has guided students to international performance opportunities, album productions, and scholarship awards. His professional engagement includes membership in Phi Kappa Phi and the Jazz Education Network, reflecting active participation in academic and industry communities.
