About
Adam Palma is a Professor of Musical Arts at the University of Salford (UK) and Professor of Jazz Guitar at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Poland. He is renowned for innovative arrangements of classical works for acoustic guitar, notably his 2019 album 'Adam Palma Meets Chopin'—the first full Chopin collection adapted for solo guitar—which earned him global acclaim and a spot on Chicago Tribune's top jazz albums of 2020. His 2022 album Second Life pioneers the fusion of acoustic guitar with string orchestra.
He holds a Bronze Medal 'Gloria Artis' (2020) and the Belvedere Professor title (2022). His performances include historic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall (2018) and collaborations with artists such as Al Di Meola, Leszek Możdżer, and Krzesimir Dębski. After surviving a 44-day coma due to COVID-19 in 2020, he resumed a vigorous performance schedule, blending jazz, classical, and experimental genres.
Teaching focuses on jazz guitar pedagogy, chamber music, and cross-genre musical exploration at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
