Adam Ainslie is a Lecturer at the University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Through his practice BLDUS, he designs healthy housing using traditional and innovative construction methods in Washington, D.C.

His research focuses on carbon-sequestering, low-VOC building techniques that integrate regional organic materials. He previously contributed to MOS Architects' exhibitions and the 'Manual of Biogenic House Sections'.
Ainslie also teaches at Catholic University of America and Virginia Tech's Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center.
