Ad de Jong is the Kraks Fond Professor of Marketing at the Department of Marketing, Copenhagen Business School (CBS), a position established through a donation from the Kraks Fond. He holds a M.Sc. in Psychometrics from Leiden University (1993-1998) and a Ph.D. from Maastricht University (1998-2003). His career includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (2003-2014), followed by Professorships at Aston Business School (2014-2017) and CBS since 2018. His research focuses on frontline marketing, circular economy, sustainable selling, and service innovation. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Service Research and serves on editorial boards for Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management.
His research emphasizes practical and sustainable solutions for businesses, including studies on salesperson motivation, genetic influences on sales success, and the role of language capacity in SME internationalization. He has taught PhD courses globally on multilevel analysis, data exploration, and academic writing strategies.
Ad de Jong’s awards include the Honorary Fellowship of the Association of Professional Sales (APS, UK). He actively contributes to policy through his roles on scientific boards, including the European Institute for Sales (EURIS) and the Scientific Board of BrainCompass. His work bridges academia and industry, aiming to enhance research dissemination and practical application in Danish trade and beyond.
