A. R. Harish

Professor A. R. Harish serves as a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, specializing in Electromagnetics. His academic credentials include a PhD from IIT Kanpur (1997), M.Tech from IIT Roorkee (1990), and B.Tech from the University of Mysore (1987).

Professor Harish's research interests center on antenna design, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, and computational electromagnetics. His work spans theoretical analysis, practical implementation, and commercial applications of electromagnetic systems. He has developed innovative approaches to circularly polarized antennas, reconfigurable antenna systems, and RFID-based sensing solutions with applications in crowd monitoring, inventory tracking, and environmental sensing.

His publication portfolio demonstrates consistent contributions to the field of antenna engineering, with a particular focus on wideband operation, polarization diversity, and compact antenna design. Recent work shows increasing emphasis on practical applications of RFID technology and integration of advanced materials in antenna systems.
