Şule Özler is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Research Psychoanalyst at the New Center for Psychoanalysis. Her research bridges economics and psychoanalysis, with earlier work focusing on international finance, trade, macroeconomics, and gender dynamics in globalization. Recently, she applies psychoanalytic frameworks to reinterpret Adam Smith's economic and moral philosophy.
