Şeyma Yektar serves as a Researcher at Uskudar University, teaching undergraduate computer science courses including Data Structures and Software Engineering to over 150 students per course while actively participating in university governance through seven administrative commissions such as the Bologna Commission and Accreditation Reporting committees.
She earned her BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University (2022) and is currently completing her MSc in the same discipline at Boğaziçi University, having graduated from Sakarya Science High School in 2017.
Her research integrates computational methods with biomedical applications, specializing in Biophotonics, Medical Imaging, and Machine Learning for diagnostic innovation. Current projects involve genetic variant analysis and nanoparticle-based photothermal therapy development.
Recent publications reveal a strong interdisciplinary trajectory, combining computational biology with nanomedicine to address challenges in genetic disorder diagnostics and cancer treatment technologies through both in silico modeling and experimental approaches.
