ŞENEL RAMAN's research focuses on intergroup contact, prejudice reduction, gender studies, and peace psychology. Their work explores how imagined contact interventions can improve intergroup relations in conflict-ridden contexts like Cyprus and Jamaica, with recent publications addressing honor-related cultural dynamics in the Mediterranean region.

Their 15 most recent publications (2008-2024) demonstrate consistent contributions to social psychology, particularly in intergroup relations, gender-based violence, and peacebuilding strategies. They have supervised numerous PhD and Master's theses on topics ranging from LGBTQ+ experiences to intergenerational conflict and gender ideology.
