معرفی
İpek Aytaç is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on enhancing thermal systems through nanotechnology, particularly in heat exchangers and solar energy applications. Key areas include hybrid nanofluids, heat recovery systems, and energy efficiency improvements in HVAC systems. She has conducted extensive experimental and numerical studies on nanofluid formulations (e.g., MgO-CuO, graphene, and ZnO-based mixtures) to optimize heat transfer coefficients and reduce energy consumption. Collaborations with experts like Adnan Sözen and Azim Doğuş Tuncer have yielded innovations in solar collectors, heat pipes, and thermostatic valve systems. Recent work highlights include a 2023 study on MgO-CuO hybrid nanofluids in solar water collectors and a 2022 analysis of graphene-enhanced air-to-air heat exchangers.
