Dr. İlknur Eruçar is an Associate Professor at Özyeğin University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Fundamental Engineering. She earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University (2009), MS in Computational Sciences and Engineering from Koç University (2012), and PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Koç University (2016).
- Education:
- PhD: Chemical and Biological Engineering, Koç University (2016)
- MS: Computational Sciences and Engineering, Koç University (2012)
- BS: Chemical Engineering, Yıldız Technical University (2009)
Her research focuses on molecular modeling of nanoporous materials, particularly metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), for energy applications such as CO2 separation from natural gas (CH4), hydrogen recovery (H2), and flue gas (N2), as well as biomedical applications like controlled drug delivery and synergistic drug effects in bio-MOFs. The MODEL Research Group she leads investigates atomistic interactions in host-guest systems for gas storage and chemotherapeutic co-delivery.
Dr. Eruçar actively recruits PhD and MSc students, emphasizing computational techniques for simulating dynamic properties of MOFs in energy and biomedical contexts.
