İlkiz SAYGILI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Beykent University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where she has served since 2022 after previously lecturing in the Vocational School (2005-2019). Her academic journey includes a PhD from Istanbul University (2022), an MA from Fatih University (2016), and a BA from Beykent University (2005).

- PhD in Social Sciences, Istanbul University (2022): Thesis on 'Ecological utopias from a deep ecology perspective: Women's country and Ecotopia'

Her research spans Translation Studies, Ecocriticism, and Children's Literature, with notable publications examining domestication/foreignization strategies in children's fantasy literature and emotional intelligence's role in language acquisition. The 2023 analysis of The Wizard of Oz demonstrates her focus on literary translation theory, while her 2007 conference paper established early work in psycholinguistics.
She has received the Achievement Award from Istanbul Beykent University (2005) for her contributions.
As an educator, she teaches advanced translation courses including Technical Translation, Community Interpreting, and Translation Criticism across multiple degree programs.
