Prof. İlhan Toplaoğlu serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Yeditepe University's Faculty of Medicine, where he maintains active clinical and academic leadership.
His educational foundation includes:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1974-1980)
- Specialization in Otorhinolaryngology, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1982-1986)
Research focuses on critical ENT subspecialties with emphasis on chronic/acute otitis media pathophysiology and sleep-disordered breathing. His thesis on long-term ventilation tube applications in secretory otitis media established foundational work in complex otological management. Clinical expertise spans surgical interventions for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Teaching continuity is demonstrated through annual instruction of specialized courses including Chronic Otitis Media and Sleep Apnea treatments since 2014-2015.
