Dr. İbrahim ERDOĞAN is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Turkey, a position held since 2018. Previously, he served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Biology at Ahi Evran University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences (2011-2017) and Department of Agricultural Biotechnology (2017-2018), while also holding administrative roles including Department Vice Chair since 2018.
His educational background includes:
- PhD in Biology, Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences (2013-2017)
- Master's in Biology, Ankara University, Institute of Science (2009-2012)
- Bachelor's in Biology, Ankara University, Faculty of Science (2005-2009)
Dr. ERDOĞAN's research spans Plant Biotechnology, Aerobiology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology, with dual focuses on: (1) plant biotechnology applications including CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing for disease resistance and abiotic stress tolerance, and characterization of plant growth promoting bacteria biofilms; and (2) aerobiological studies of atmospheric pollen, fungal spores, and biological particles in Kırşehir province, contributing to environmental monitoring and allergology.
His publication analysis reveals strong emphasis on crop improvement through molecular techniques and environmental aerobiology, with recent works (2021-2023) highlighting biofilm characterization of plant growth promoting bacteria and CRISPR advancements. These research streams directly align with his departmental affiliation and collaborations with allergology researchers.
Dr. ERDOĞAN has supervised two Master's students and secured principal investigator roles for two research projects on bacterial biofilms and plant root colonization, plus participation in university infrastructure development. He maintains active membership in the Turkish National Allergy and Clinical Immunology Association (since 2014) and Biotechnology Association (since 2009), collaborating with 20 researchers including Nur Münevver Pınar (Ankara University).
