Prof. Dr. İ.Halil Kavakli is a faculty member at Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey, affiliated with both the College of Engineering (Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering) and the College of Science (Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics). He serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and directs the Molecular Biochemistry Research Laboratory (Kavakli Lab).

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Middle East Technical University (1992)
Research Interests: Prof. Kavakli focuses on the biological clock, circadian clock dysregulation in cancer, and computational drug design. His work bridges molecular biology, biochemistry, and systems biology to understand timekeeping mechanisms in cells and their implications in oncology.
