Øyvind Norli is Professor of Finance and current Head of Department of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School, a position he has held since 2022. He joined BI in 2005 after academic appointments at Rotman School of Management (1999-2004) and Tuck School of Business (2003-2005), where he served as Assistant Professor.
Dr. Norli earned his PhD from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1999. His academic career progression shows steady advancement: Associate Professor (2005-2008), Professor (2008-present), Dean of PhD Program (2015-2022), and current Department Head (2022-2026).
His research specializes in empirical corporate finance and asset pricing, with significant contributions to understanding:
