معرفی
Éric Brunet is an Assistant Professor (maître de conférences) at Sorbonne Université, affiliated with the Department of Physics at the Laboratoire de Physique de l'ENS in Paris. His research focuses on non-equilibrium statistical physics, particularly front propagation, disordered systems, and branching processes. He obtained his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in 2016, titled 'Some aspects of the Fisher-KPP equation and the branching Brownian motion.'
Teaching: Brunet teaches advanced mechanics, statistical physics, and thermodynamics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His courses include modules like 4P005 (Statistical Physics) and 3P011 (Thermodynamics).
Research: His work spans systems far from equilibrium, including propagating fronts, directed polymers, and quantum information scrambling. Notable contributions include studies on Fisher-KPP equations, logarithmic corrections in front dynamics, and the interplay between selection and genealogical structures in evolving populations.
Publications: Over 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Physical Review E, Journal of Statistical Physics, and Nonlinearity. His research often bridges theoretical physics, probability, and mathematical biology.
