Åsa Mobaeck is a researcher and doctoral student in Caring Sciences at the Department of Health and Caring Sciences, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Linnaeus University. She is also a trained specialist nurse in cardiac care, working part-time (50%) at Färjestaden's Health Care Center while pursuing her PhD.
Her research focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in healthcare settings, particularly examining experiences and attitudes toward CPR among doctors, nurses, and care staff. She is mapping the occurrence and management of sudden cardiac arrests in special accommodation facilities (SÄBO) and comparing these with incidents occurring at home among individuals over 65 years of age.
Key areas of interest include deficiencies in CPR treatment within special accommodations, emergency care protocols, and improving routines for sudden cardiac arrest situations.
