Äli Leijen is a Professor of Teacher Education at the University of Tartu’s Faculty of Social Sciences, leading the Institute of Education since 2014. Her roles include heading research centers and serving as a visiting scholar at institutions like the Helsinki Collegium of Advanced Studies. She has held continuous academic positions at the Institute of Education since 2006, with earlier roles including Senior Research Fellow and Programme Director.
