Ákos Török is a Professor at the Department of Geotechnics and Engineering Geology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He serves as Head of Department, Chairman of the Faculty Council's Habilitation Committee and Doctoral Council, and member of the Faculty Council's Scientific Committee.
His research focuses on monumental rock materials, rock weathering, environmental geology, and carbonate sedimentology. Key applications include air pollution-rock interactions, radioactive waste disposal, and surface treatment of building stones.
Scientific Awards

He teaches courses such as Geological Hazards, Geodynamics, and Structural Application of Rocks, and supervises PhD topics on comparative engineering geological properties of limestones and data mining methods in geology.
