Dr. Olga Cretu is a Lecturer in HR and Organisational Behaviour at the School of Management, Coventry University London, where she has been teaching since May 2020. She has previously held teaching positions at Westminster and Middlesex University Business School. Her academic work bridges business, sociology, and migration studies, reflecting her interdisciplinary background. She explores transnational career trajectories, particularly among post-Soviet women, and investigates labour mobility, informal economies, and creative industries. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical and alternative perspectives in HR and OB, interdisciplinary crisis studies, and research-led pedagogy. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and has guided several students into PhD programs. Her recent publications and conference presentations reflect a consistent focus on migration, labour mobility, post-Soviet industrial relations, and gendered work experiences. Themes such as informal work in the Russian construction sector, the impact of EU enlargement on worker migration, and the legacy of socialist economies in contemporary labour practices recur across her work.
