Dr. Jennifer S. Ford is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Hunter College, CUNY, and Director of the Hunter Psycho-Oncology Lab. She holds additional roles as Deputy Director of Clinical Training for the Health Psychology and Clinical Science doctoral program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research focuses on improving quality of life and clinical outcomes for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors, with an emphasis on psychosocial adaptation, psychosexual functioning, fertility concerns, and behavioral interventions. She has pioneered technology-based interventions to address health disparities in survivorship care, including web-based decision aids for family planning and telehealth strategies for mental health support. The lab actively mentors undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers in translational psycho-oncology research.
