Professor Remedios López Liria is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medicine at the University of Almería, Spain. With an h-index of 23 in both Scopus and Web of Science, she has established herself as a leading researcher in physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences. Her academic contributions span over 126 articles, 93 book chapters, and supervision of numerous doctoral theses, demonstrating her significant impact in the field. Professor López Liria's research focuses primarily on neurological rehabilitation , with special emphasis on multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. Her work extends to elderly care, examining quality of life, pain management, and sexual health in aging populations. She has made substantial contributions to telemedicine applications in healthcare, particularly in teledermatology and remote monitoring of patients with pacemakers. More recently, she has pioneered research on the EMMA Project, investigating how women with multiple sclerosis respond to physical activity throughout their menstrual cycle. Her publication record shows consistent high-quality output across Q1 and Q2 journals including Nurse Education Today, Brain and Behavior, and Sensors.
