Loukia Chr. Evripidou serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at the School of Business Administration, European University of Cyprus, a position held continuously since 2003. She earned her PhD in Finance from the University of Durham's Department of Economics and Finance, specializing in efficiency, profitability, and productivity analysis of English banking institutions. Her research spans Finance, Accounting, Mergers and Acquisitions, Sharing Economy, Banking, and Corporate Governance. Recent publications examine strategic agility frameworks, dual aspects of sharing economy models, post-crisis mega-merger impacts, and airline industry consolidation dynamics, revealing consistent focus on financial market behavior and corporate strategic adaptation. Dr. Evripidou actively contributes to major research initiatives including the ERASMUS+ project 'Accounting for the Circular Economy and Sustainability' (2022, Researcher role), 'Financial Investigation Coordination in Cyprus' under Hercule III Programme (2014-2020), and labor market integration programs funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (2019, Coordinator). She currently holds board appointments at Cyprus Port Authority (2024-present) and Vertex International Bank and Trust (2023-present), while serving as Research Project Evaluator for the European Science Foundation (2021-present).
