Pavel Skopal is an Associate Professor and Head of the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Culture at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. His academic work focuses on film history, particularly Czech and Central European cinema, animation studies, and film exhibition practices throughout the 20th century. Skopal's research interests span multiple areas of film studies with particular emphasis on cinema during World War II, animation production history, and the spatial organization of film studios.
