Dr Xiaoping Lin is a Research Fellow at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, affiliated with the Clinical Outcomes Data Reporting and Research Program (CORRP). She holds expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, focusing on mental health, dementia, and health service evaluation with a special emphasis on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. She has secured over $700,000 in research funding as a Chief Investigator, primarily in aging and cultural diversity. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and quality education. Dr Lin has co-led projects such as the MINDSET Study (improving interpreter use in dementia assessments) and research on rural-urban disparities in dementia diagnosis. She serves on the Editorial Board of Clinical Gerontologist and has received awards including the AAAPC Travelling Fellowship (2017) and DCRC Conference Grant (2020). Her research addresses systemic barriers in healthcare access and aims to optimize care for older Australians and their families through evidence-based interventions and policy advocacy.
