Sadiksha Adhikari is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) and the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) under the Faculty of Medicine. Her work centers on biomedicine with emphasis on high-risk hematological malignancies and therapeutic innovation. Her research interests include: Cancer research focused on multiple myeloma and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia Molecular mechanisms of drug resistance and response to therapies like melflufen Genomic and transcriptomic technologies (single-cell RNA sequencing, whole-exome sequencing) for precision oncology Therapeutic targeting of signaling pathways (LCK, mTOR) in hematological cancers Analysis of her publications (2021-2022) reveals a consistent focus on molecular profiling of treatment responses in blood cancers, particularly leveraging advanced sequencing to identify biomarkers and resistance mechanisms. Her work demonstrates strong collaboration with Professor Caroline Heckman's research group. She is actively engaged in three major funded projects: Academy Project: Pharmacological targeting of high-risk hematological malignancies (2023-2027) NIH subaward under Caroline Heckman (2023-2025) Finnish Flagship Programme iCAN: Digital precision cancer medicine for discoveries and improved treatments (2022-2026) Advising and grant activities are centered within Professor Heckman's research team at FIMM, focusing on translational cancer research with direct clinical applications for hematological malignancies.
