Niels Skat Tiedje is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on material processing, including casting, welding, additive manufacturing, and recycling. He holds expertise in solidification kinetics, microstructure analysis, and process modeling. Tiedje is involved in advancing sustainable materials and manufacturing methods aligned with UN SDGs. Education: Ph.D. in Materials Science, Risø National Laboratory (1991–1994) M.Sc. in Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (1983–1990) Research Interests: Tiedje’s work spans structure-property relationships in cast and additive-manufactured components, recycling of materials, and process optimization.
