Jens Boos is a Young Investigator Group Fellow leading the Black Hole Phenomenology Group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Department of Physics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His research bridges observational black hole data with fundamental physics models, focusing on new particles and gravitational theories beyond general relativity. Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at William & Mary (2020-2023) and completed his PhD at the University of Alberta (2016-2020). His work connects quantum gravity effects to observable phenomena in gravitational wave astronomy and black hole imaging, with emphasis on mathematical rigor and testable predictions. Publications since 2015 reveal an evolving trajectory from foundational work on exact solutions in general relativity toward contemporary focus on nonlocal gravity phenomenology.
