Cristiano Ciuti is a Professor at the University of Paris Cité and Director of the MPQ (Matter and Complex Quantum Systems) laboratory since April 2018. He also leads the THEORY team within the same institution. His academic journey includes an Associate Professor position at ENS Paris (2003-2006), a postdoc at UCSD (2001-2003), and doctoral work at EPFL Switzerland (1997-2001). Habilitation HDR (Univ. His work increasingly intersects with complex systems and machine learning approaches, exploring applications of neural networks to quantum dynamics and quantum technologies. His research has evolved to incorporate cutting-edge computational methods including variational approaches and neural quantum states. His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward integrating machine learning techniques with quantum physics, particularly in developing neural network approaches for quantum dynamics simulation, quantum state representation, and quantum computing applications. The research spans fundamental quantum phenomena while addressing practical computational challenges in simulating complex quantum systems.
