Mohammad Reza Hajiabadi is a Tenure Track Researcher at the Danish Offshore Technology Centre within GeoEnergy Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on CO2 storage in chalk reservoirs, particularly in the North Sea region, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and affordable clean energy. Dr. Hajiabadi's research interests span multiple areas in subsurface engineering and carbon capture and storage. His work primarily investigates the thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) processes that occur during CO2 injection into depleted chalk reservoirs. He specializes in constitutive modeling of reservoir chalk, wellbore engineering, and simulation of CO2 storage operations.
