Mauricio Prado is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He holds a PhD from Stockholm University, with prior affiliations at the University of Cambridge and IMT Lucca Institute for Advanced Studies. His research focuses on political economy, macroeconomic policy, fiscal capacity, and informality. Key areas include the politico-economic determinants of fiscal systems, the role of regulation and trade in informal economies, and the welfare impacts of business cycles.
