Salvatore Nucifora is an Assistant Professor in General and Applied Entomology at the University of Catania, where he has been since 1996. His research focuses on the systematics of scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) , agricultural crop protection from pests, and entomophilous pollination of greenhouse vegetables.
