Prof. Dr. Christian Erik Pohl is an Adjunct Professor at ETH Zurich's Department of Environmental Systems Science and Head of the Institute for Environmental Decisions (IED) and the Transdisciplinarity Lab (TdLab). His research focuses on advancing transdisciplinary approaches to address complex environmental and societal challenges, emphasizing sustainable development. He holds a doctorate and habilitation in environmental science from the University of Bern. Key roles include membership in the Swiss National Science Foundation’s NRP 82 steering committee and the scientific advisory board of td-net. His contributions include seminal works like Principles for Designing Transdisciplinary Research and the Handbook of Transdisciplinary Research , fostering global collaboration in sustainability science.
