Dr. Jacques-Donald Tournier serves as Reader in Biomedical Engineering at King's College London's Centre for the Developing Brain, where he leads research in advanced diffusion MRI methodologies. His work spans the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Perinatal Imaging and Health at St Thomas' Hospital, focusing on white matter connectivity characterization and neonatal brain imaging through the Developing Human Connectome Project. His educational background includes: PhD in Diffusion Tensor MRI, UCL Institute of Child Health (2003) MSc in Trabecular Bone Architecture Analysis, University of Cambridge (1999) BA, University of Cambridge (1998) Research interests center on computational neuroimaging innovation, with seminal contributions to spherical deconvolution, probabilistic tractography (Track Density Imaging, Anatomically Constrained Tractography), and fixel-based analysis.
