Therese Benita von Bemberg-Flamersheim serves as a University Assistant for Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy within the Department of Music Education at Mozarteum University Salzburg's School of Music & Art Education. Her research examines expressive music-making in early string instruction, integrating dance methodologies developed through her professional Lindy Hop instruction. BA in Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy (Violin), Mozarteum University MA in Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy (Violin), Mozarteum University PhD Candidate in Music Education, Mozarteum University (since 2020) Her scholarly work bridges violin pedagogy and embodied learning, with specific focus on how dance principles enhance expressive string performance in beginner students. Current projects analyze motor skill transfer between Lindy Hop partner dynamics and bowing techniques, supported by fieldwork at Salzburg's Musikum where she supervises undergraduate teaching practicums. As primary supervisor for IGP bachelor's program internships, she mentors 15-20 students annually in developing age-appropriate string curricula. Her dual expertise in dance education informs innovative practicum modules that connect physical movement with musical expression. Born in 1990, she maintains active performance practice through teaching Lindy Hop and Solo Charleston at Munich adult education centers while conducting international workshops on dance-music integration in Stockholm, Vilnius, and New Orleans.
