Professor Ana Deletic is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Previously, she held leadership roles including Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at UNSW Sydney and Associate Dean of Research at Monash University. Her research focuses on urban water engineering, stormwater management, and water-sensitive urban design. She has been a pioneer in stormwater research for 30 years, earning recognition as the world's most published scholar in stormwater management. Her work emphasizes integrating nature-based solutions, such as biofilters and green infrastructure, to address urban water challenges. Deletic holds a PhD from the University of Aberdeen and is an Honorary Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE). She leads large-scale interdisciplinary research programs, collaborating with industries, governments, and universities. Her editorial roles include Editor-in-Chief of *Water Research* and *Blue Green Systems*. Key achievements include the Victoria Prize for Science and Innovation (2012) and contributions to advancing the 'Sponge City' agenda through plant species evaluations and WSUD frameworks. Her leadership during the pandemic involved reorganizing UNSW faculties and implementing initiatives that boosted its global rankings. Current research explores real-time control of stormwater systems, photocatalytic water treatment, and climate-resilient urban design. Deletic's work bridges academia and practice, driving innovation in sustainable water management and infrastructure resilience.
