Dr hab. Andrzej Radomski is a Professor at the Department of Information and Digital Culture, Faculty of Arts, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), where he has worked since 2004. A pioneer of digital humanities in Poland and creator of the first national conference on the Digital Turn in the Humanities (2012), he focuses on Data Science applications in cultural studies, knowledge visualization, and metaverse research. His career spans roles such as Head of the Department of Cultural Theory (2004-2017) and Deputy Director of the Institute of Cultural Studies (2007-2011). Radomski founded the journals Kultura i Historia and Medialica , the e-naukowiec publishing house, and the DARIAH.PL consortium. He co-created the Center for Digital Resources and Intelligent Systems (ECOTECH-COMPLEX) in 2021. His research integrates Python and R programming for cultural data analysis, and he designed the bachelor’s and master’s program in Digital Technologies in Cultural Animation. Recent publications highlight his work on digital storytelling, remix culture, and the intersection of empirical methods with postmodern historiography. While no specific scientific awards are documented, his leadership in academic innovation and digital resource development underscores his influence. Radomski also champions non-traditional educational models, including virtual teaching in Spatial metaverse and co-founding the citizen science platform Wiedza i Edukacja (2007-2017).
