Dr. Tomayess Issa is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University's Faculty of Business and Law. He holds adjunct researcher roles at Universidade Aberta (Portugal), University of Twente (Netherlands), and others. His expertise spans Information Systems, Sustainable Design, and e-Learning, with a focus on technology's role in sustainability and multicultural education. Issa has authored/co-edited influential books like Management Information Systems: Harnessing Technologies for Business & Society and Sustainable Design: HCI, Usability and Environmental Concerns . Education: PhD (Inf Sys, 2008) from Curtin University, MSci Inf Sys (Murdoch, 1999), BSci Inf Sys (Murdoch, 1997), and additional qualifications in business and secretarial studies. Service roles include membership in the Sustainability in Business and Law (SiBL) steering group, Peer Review of Educational Practice (PREP), and ethics review committees. He mentors students through programs like ENACTUS Curtin and the ACS WA Mentoring Experience Program. Publications span over 100 articles in journals like Journal of Cleaner Production and International Journal of Information Management , with a focus on sustainable technologies, e-Learning innovations, and social media's educational impact.
